- You would have mastered independent CAPA management, become a reliable document control expert, and gained initial experience supporting internal audits. Now you're ready to lead.
You're ready to move on when
- Consistently closing CAPAs on time with effective solutions.
- Proactively identifying process improvements, not just following instructions.
- Demonstrating strong communication skills with internal stakeholders.
- Showing initiative in learning new aspects of compliance beyond your immediate tasks.

From a Quality/Compliance Role in another Industry
5-8 years of relevant experienceSkills to master
- You'd bring solid experience in ISO management systems, internal auditing, and CAPA management from a similar regulated environment (e.g., manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, aerospace). You'll need to quickly learn our specific processes and QMS tools.
You're ready to move on when
- Holding a Lead Auditor certification for a relevant ISO standard.
- A track record of successfully leading audit programmes and driving corrective actions.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new industry-specific regulations and company culture.
- Strong references from previous managers highlighting your autonomy and problem-solving skills.

From a Health & Safety or Environmental Specialist Role
6-9 years, with cross-trainingSkills to master
- If you've specialised in H&S or Environmental compliance (e.g., with NEBOSH or IEMA qualifications), you'd need to gain a deeper understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) and general document control principles. Your ISO 14001/45001 expertise would be a huge asset.
You're ready to move on when
- Already holding an ISO 14001 or 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
- Demonstrable experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- A proactive approach to learning the quality aspects of our management systems.
- Strong desire to broaden your compliance expertise across all three ISO pillars.
