You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led a significant global social impact function (e.g., human rights, community investment) for a large multinational.
- Demonstrated ability to present complex issues and recommendations to senior executives and Board committees.
- Proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams across different geographies.
- Strong external network and reputation as a thought leader in a specific area of social impact.

VP/Head of Sustainability (Smaller/Mid-size Company)
5-8 years at VP level in a smaller firm, then move to larger enterpriseSkills to master
- Full P&L management, enterprise-wide ESG strategy, investor relations, stakeholder engagement (including Board), and building a function from the ground up.

- Owned the entire sustainability agenda (E, S, and G) for a smaller public company, including external reporting and investor engagement.
- Direct experience reporting to the CEO and Board on all sustainability matters.
- Proven ability to translate sustainability strategy into tangible business outcomes and value creation.

- Successfully advised multiple Fortune 500 companies on their ESG strategies, reporting, and risk management.
- Built a strong reputation as an industry expert, with a track record of publishing research or speaking at major conferences.
- Proven ability to influence C-suite decision-makers and navigate complex organisational challenges across diverse clients.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of how ESG drives business value.
