- You've expressed a clear interest in formal leadership and people management.

Specialised Lending Manager (e.g., Real Estate, Healthcare)
8-12 years in a specialised lending roleSkills to master
- Deep industry expertise, managing a niche portfolio, leading complex transactions within that sector, and potentially managing a small team of specialist lenders.
You're ready to move on when
- You're recognised as the bank's expert in a specific, high-value lending sector.
- You've built a strong network of clients and COIs within your specialism.
- You've demonstrated the ability to lead and close deals that require deep sector knowledge.
- You're ready to broaden your leadership scope beyond just your specialism.

Credit Manager (with strong client-facing skills)
8-12 years in Credit Underwriting/ManagementSkills to master
- Expertise in credit risk assessment, portfolio management, policy development, and a strong understanding of the sales side of commercial banking. You'd need to have developed excellent communication and negotiation skills for client interaction.
