- Mastering complex solution design, managing a portfolio of projects, leading small teams, and demonstrating accountability for significant project ROI. This is where you prove you can deliver at scale.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led multiple cross-functional transformation programmes with measurable benefits.
- Consistently delivered projects on time and budget, even with ambiguity.
- Built and mentored a high-performing team of 3-5 professionals.
- Demonstrated strong influencing skills with senior stakeholders.

Principal, Business Transformation / Process Manager (L5)
3-5 years at L5Skills to master
- Managing a larger team (10-25 people, including other managers), establishing enterprise-wide methodologies and governance, and being accountable for functional-level metrics and P&L contribution. This is where you start owning a significant part of the business.
You're ready to move on when
- Managed a team of 10+ process professionals, including their development and performance.
- Established and scaled a process improvement CoE or similar function.
- Accountable for a significant functional budget and its ROI.
- Consistently provided strategic advice to business unit leadership.

Consulting Director (Big 4 or Specialist Firm)
5-10 years as a Director/PartnerSkills to master
- Leading large client engagements, managing complex transformation programmes for diverse clients, building client relationships at C-suite level, and driving business development. You'd bring a wealth of external best practices.
You're ready to move on when
- Managed client relationships and project delivery for multiple £1M+ transformation engagements.
- Consistently met or exceeded sales targets for consulting services.
- Led large, multi-disciplinary consulting teams.
- Recognised as an expert in a specific industry or transformation domain.
