5-8 years as a Distinguished/Staff EngineerSkills to master
- Deep technical expertise combined with broad organisational impact. You'd be recognised as a top-tier individual contributor, solving the hardest technical problems and influencing engineering practices across multiple teams or even an entire department.
You're ready to move on when
- Recognised as an industry expert or internal 'go-to' person for highly complex technical challenges.
- Successfully driven adoption of new technologies or architectural paradigms across multiple teams.
- Proven ability to act as a technical leader and mentor to a wide range of engineers and architects.
- Contributed significantly to open-source projects or published impactful technical articles.

Head of Engineering / Senior Engineering Manager (with strong architectural background)
3-5 years in a senior engineering leadership roleSkills to master
