You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led a major sustainability reporting cycle (e.g., CDP, annual ESG report) from start to finish, including assurance.
- Built and retained a high-performing team of 5+ sustainability professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to secure and manage a budget of £500K-£2M for sustainability programmes.
- Consistently delivered measurable improvements in key ESG metrics at a departmental level.

Head of ESG / Responsible Business (from another company)
Direct entry, depending on company size and scopeSkills to master
- Bringing a proven track record of strategic leadership and transformation from a similar role in another complex organisation. You'd need to quickly adapt to our industry specifics and internal culture.
You're ready to move on when
- Experience leading an ESG function for a company of comparable size and complexity.
- Demonstrable success in driving ESG strategy and performance improvements in a previous role.
- Strong external network and reputation in the sustainability sector.
- Ability to quickly build credibility and influence within a new organisation.

Head of Corporate Affairs / Strategy (Internal Pivot)
5-7 years in a related senior strategic roleSkills to master
- Leveraging a deep understanding of the company's overall strategy, operations, and stakeholder landscape. You'd need to quickly build expertise in the technical aspects of ESG and demonstrate a passion for sustainability, translating your strategic acumen to this specific domain.

- Deep understanding of our company's core business, strategic priorities, and operational challenges.
- Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and influence across functions.
- Strong existing relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., C-suite, business unit leaders).
