- Independent experimental execution, data analysis proficiency, problem identification and basic solution proposal, effective documentation, and taking ownership of specific workstream tasks.
You're ready to move on when
- Consistently delivers high-quality experimental results without constant supervision.
- Proactively identifies and troubleshoots minor technical issues.
- Can clearly articulate the scientific rationale and outcomes of their work.
- Has successfully managed 2-3 significant workstream tasks from start to finish.

Specialist from Academia / Post-Doc
2-4 years (post-PhD)Skills to master
- Translating academic research into industrial application, understanding commercial drivers, adapting to structured Stage-Gate processes, and collaborating effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
You're ready to move on when
- Demonstrated ability to lead a research project from hypothesis to conclusion in an academic setting.
- Strong publication record and/or experience in grant writing and project management.
- Expressed interest and understanding of commercialisation pathways for scientific discoveries.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, even if academic.
