- Strategic portfolio management, advanced stakeholder influence (up to VP level), team leadership and development, robust business case development for multi-million pound initiatives, cross-functional programme oversight.
You're ready to move on when
- Successfully led 3+ large-scale CI programmes delivering >£2M in validated benefits.
- Consistently received positive feedback on team leadership and mentorship.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and present to Director/VP-level stakeholders.
- Proactively identified and championed new CI opportunities beyond assigned projects.

From Senior Business Transformation Consultant (External)
5-7 years in senior consulting roles, focused on process and operational excellence.Skills to master
- Adaptation to internal corporate politics and culture, long-term capability building (vs. project-based delivery), managing direct reports, deep understanding of a specific industry sector's operational nuances.
You're ready to move on when
- Experience leading transformation workstreams for multiple clients, with clear, attributable results.
- Strong client relationship management skills at a senior level.
- Ability to transition from an advisory role to an embedded leadership position.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage internal teams.

From Head of Operations / Senior Operations Manager
7-10 years in senior operational leadership, with a strong focus on process improvement.Skills to master
- Formal Lean Six Sigma methodologies, advanced process mapping and analysis tools, strategic change management frameworks, financial modelling for CI benefits, leading CI professionals (which is different from leading operational teams).
You're ready to move on when
- Proven track record of significantly improving operational efficiency and reducing costs within a large operational unit.
- Deep understanding of the 'pain points' and opportunities within a specific business function.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives from within an operational role.
- A strong desire to specialise in process excellence and lead a dedicated CI function.
