Documentation Timeliness
How quickly you complete and submit your quality records, such as inspection reports, test results, or non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Target · Complete 100% of all required documentation within 24 hours of task completion.You finish a batch inspection at 14:00 on Tuesday; the report should be fully entered into the system by 14:00 on Wednesday.
Non-Conformance Report (NCR) Initiation Rate
The number of times you correctly identify a deviation from specification and initiate an NCR, which is then validated by a Quality Engineer.
Target · Initiate at least 5 validated NCRs per month, or as appropriate based on production volume.You notice a batch of components has the wrong colour. You correctly stop the line and open an NCR, which the Quality Engineer confirms is valid.
Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
How closely you follow the documented steps for your tasks, without taking shortcuts or deviating from the process.
Target · Maintain 100% adherence to all relevant SOPs during observed tasks.During an observation, you correctly follow all 7 steps of the 'Incoming Material Inspection' SOP, including signing off each step.
Proactive Issue Identification
You're not just finding obvious problems, but also noticing subtle things that might become issues later, and bringing them to your manager's attention.
- You'll be asking clarifying questions about unusual observations. You'll point out potential risks before they become actual non-conformances. Your Quality Engineer will mention instances where you've spotted something they might have missed.
Team Collaboration & Communication
How well you work with the production and warehouse teams, and how clearly you communicate quality issues without causing unnecessary friction.
- Production operators will say you're easy to work with. You'll clearly explain why a product needs to be put on hold. Your Quality Engineer won't hear about issues from other departments before hearing from you.
Learning & Development Engagement
Your willingness to learn new procedures, ask questions, and take on new responsibilities as you grow in the role.
- You'll actively participate in training sessions. You'll ask 'why' something is done a certain way. You'll seek feedback on your performance and act on it. You'll complete mandatory e-learning modules on time.
Attention to Detail in Documentation
Your records are consistently tidy, complete, and easy for others to understand, without missing key information or having illegible handwriting.
- Your completed forms will rarely need corrections. Auditors will find your records clear and complete. Your Quality Engineer won't have to chase you for missing signatures or data points.
